OpenText Migration with Document Control for Engineering

Cameron Transparent
Situation

Cameron LNG is a growing LNG global player with existing technology that lagged their organizational needs and growth.  Cameron LNG was rapidly outgrowing the M Files system in both capacity and functionality required. Cameron LNG immediately required a robust, scalable ECM system for both Engineering, Construction, Administration and Ready for Operations (RFO).  Ready for Operations (RFO) was adamant that a solution be provided before operating begun to ensure an easy handover and complete control of all documentation whether facility or administration related.

Solution

Cadence recommended implementing the integrated Content Suite system including Extended ECM for Engineering with a focus on document management, collaboration, workflows and automating the document control process.   Cadence Solutions once again proved themselves as a valuable implementation partner by instilling a multi phase approach to ensure quick wins and immediate positive buzz within Cameron LNG for the initial foundational phase. The foundational phase included migrating content from both shared drives and M Files.

Once the foundation phase was live, the Document Control phase began.  Cadence gathered all requirements from Document Control and RFO in preparation for onboarding of the departments.   Cadence configured all the Extended ECM for Engineering components including Transmittals, BRAVA!, Controlled Revision Tracking, Advanced State Management (ASM) and Process Flows.  Additionally, Cadence guided Cameron LNG Document Control and System Administrators through Testing, Training and Go Live resulting in a modernized digital document control process.

*Moreover, during the devastating Hurricane in Houston, the Content Suite ECM system remained online due to Cadence and Cameron LNG choosing a cloud provider.

This was my second implementation of OpenText with Cadence with (2) LNG companies. We are extremely pleased with the results. Well done!
